Munshiari
Munshiari is a 260 kms drive from Raksha Retreat. One has to go via Almorah, Bhageshwar and Thal. It takes around 10 hours to reach in one day. Road is good.
One can see feel the snow clad peaks of Nanda Devi, Trishul etc on the face on reaching Munshiari. Temperature is max around 17 degrees in peak summers. In winters it snows heavily. A place to visit indeed.
Munsiari is the name of the sub-division headquarters, a conglomeration of revenue villages and it also refers to the entire region as Munsiari Tehsil and Sub Division in the Pithoragarh District in the hill-state of Uttarakhand, India.
